My take: S tier

Rattan Pikemen – Conqueror's Blade T2 infantry unit

Overview

Cheap chivalric pikes built around poison. The debuffs stack, cutting damage and movement on infantry. Good speed and health scaling, solid charges against cavalry, strong in sieges against blobs.

Strengths

  • Stacking poison: less damage and movement for enemy infantry
  • Solid charges against cavalry
  • Cheap, good speed and health scaling
  • Strong in sieges against blobs

Weaknesses

  • Mediocre damage against heavy armour and shields
  • Ranged fire and fire damage without a front line
  • No brace, dies to cavalry on the flank
  • Poor use of leadership in the endgame

How to Play

  • Rattan Poison (Mastery V): every second attack releases AoE poison that slows and deals damage over time.
  • Indirect Methods (Mastery VIII): the poison also cuts enemy speed and damage by 20%.
  • Use them as a cheap front line that stacks poison on enemy infantry.
  • Pair them with damage units that punish the slowed, weakened targets.
  • Good for grinding before you unlock higher tiers.
